Cai Mep to Alexandria (Dekheila) has 1 sailing a week, operated by Maersk. Port-to-port transit runs from 38 to 43 days. That excludes cargo preparation, customs clearance and inland trucking.

There is no direct service. In the Maersk schedule checked on 06/10/2026 (6 October), cargo transships twice, first at Tanjung Pelepas and then at Port Said East. It discharges at AICT's El Dekheila terminal, code EGEDK.

Cargo stuffed at Cai Mep goes through CMIT. The truck and the gate-in both have to be at CMIT. Check the terminal and CY on your booking, then confirm the SI and VGM cut-offs before you choose a sailing.

Cargo in Ho Chi Minh City can ship from Cat Lai. Maersk takes cargo at Cat Lai or an ICD and moves it to the deep-water port. The schedule runs from the pick-up point, so compare sailing dates and cut-offs for that point.

AICT operates two separate terminals: Alexandria (EGALY) and El Dekheila (EGEDK). Your booking must name the right discharge terminal. For Dekheila, enter El Dekheila, not Alexandria.

The Egyptian importer must hold an ACID on Nafeza before cargo is loaded. As the exporter, check your CargoX account and send documents through it. Without an ACID, don't lock in a loading date.

Invoice, packing list, draft B/L, HS code and party details must match character for character. The deadline for the final document set is a separate matter, and meeting it doesn't mean the ACID has been approved. Ask the importer and the carrier which deadline applies to your shipment.

GOEIC requires registration of the factory or brand owner, but only for regulated product groups. The importer should check the product, the HS code and whether the registration is still valid.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade list (MOIT VNTR), Vietnam and Egypt have no FTA in force. That means zero duty can't be promised. The buyer should check duties by HS code and confirm which origin documents are required.

Sokhna sits on the Red Sea, while Alexandria and Dekheila are on the Mediterranean. In the 8 weeks checked, Maersk had no sailing to Sokhna. The schedule gives no reason, so we don't speculate.

A Port Said call doesn't mean the ship transits the Suez Canal. Ask the carrier for the actual routing of the sailing you pick. For Tet, Ramadan and Eid, plan around factory and consignee holidays rather than assuming a fixed seasonal delay.
